Gemstone Collective was created in 2021 by Jess – a result of a lifelong fascination with all things rocks and minerals, a never-ending desire to create artful objects with natural components and traditional methods, and the constant pull to explore the natural world.

Hand-collected crystals

There is nothing quite like collecting your own crystals from nature – Jess responsibly collects treasures from designated prospecting locations across Victoria. Sometimes, this involves wading through creeks or digging for hours, days, or even weeks, into iron-rich soils and clays.

The crystals found on these gentle adventures are available as interesting specimens for collectors whilst water-worn creek-finds are tumbled and polished for four weeks in-house. High quality crystal points and other specimens are turned into jewellery.

Mindfully sourced crystals

Gemstone Collective offers an array of intriguing statement crystals, perfect as home décor or for meditation and other practices. These are sourced from a variety of trusted suppliers and locations, on a local and global scale.

Handmade collections

As a small business, specialising in natural items and handmade products, no two treasures will ever be the same.

Solid silver jewellery

All handmade silver jewellery items are handcrafted by Jess using a mix of 925 sterling silver and 999 fine silver. Jess creates silver jewellery items using two main methods – the lost wax process and soldering.

Macrame jewellery

A collection of handmade jewellery items are created combining the natural beauty of crystals and the intricate patterns of macrame. Often, these are created deep in the bush whilst taking a break from digging and fossicking for gems.

Other handcrafted items

A collection of other handcrafted wares and accessories are created by Jess, including macrame crystal sun catchers, keyrings and other one-off items.
